Important Travel Alert
Starting in 2025, U.S. citizens will need an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) to enter Paris and other Schengen Zone countries. The application is simple and can be completed online for a fee of €7. It’s valid for three years or until your passport expires.
Apply at least 96 hours before your departure to avoid delays.

Make sure your passport is valid for at least three months beyond your departure date, and check for any updates closer to your trip. Safe travels—we can't wait to see you in Paris!
Getting Here & Around the City
The closest airport is Charles de Gaulle (CDG), located about 25 kilometers (16 miles) from the city center. We recommend booking flights early for the best rates. Alternatively, Orly Airport (ORY) is also nearby, about 13 kilometers (8 miles) from central Paris, offering additional options for your arrival.
For transportation once you have arrived, the metro and Ubers are the most reliable and convenient options. Please keep in mind that Paris is a very large and busy city, so always give yourself more time than you think you may need.
